Finance & Administration Manager

Jaroop is seeking an individual to join its team as a Finance & Administrative Manager. This position will have full span of control across finance and accounting, human resources, and general administrative support systems. As an early member of a small (~20 person) but profitable, growing company, you will be a key member of the leadership team with input on the overall strategic direction of the company, in addition to the tactical responsibilities. This position will report directly to the CEO.

Requirements

  • Maintain general ledger, trial balance, balance sheet and income statements
  • Manage all functions relative to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts and cash disbursements
  • Provide financial projections, project/resource profitability reports, cost allocation by division/project
  • Provide guidance around budgeting, cash planning
  • Process payroll and review / manage related tax filings
  • Manage all local, state, and federal filings, fees, and associated payments
  • Produce regular financial reporting and the design, management, and presentation of the company KPI scorecard to the management team
  • Manage human resources, including but not limited to: managing our third-party HRIS system, employee issues, legal and compliance responsibilities, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding, performance management processes, benefits renewals, compensation plan design, diversity & inclusion, etc.
  • Manage and review contracts with vendors and clients to ensure risk mitigation and optimal terms and conditions for Jaroop.
  • Often participating directly in negotiations, facilitating conversations between parties, identifying and managing risk, and recommending paths to success
  • Work with third party legal, accounting, and benefits firms as needed
  • Oversee the administrative support function for the company, including but not limited to configurations of our company SaaS products (Jira, Google, etc.), document proofing and review, systems optimization
  • Manage special projects of the administrative, human resource, or financial nature as needed
  • Administer training and development programs for new hires and existing employees

Qualifications

  • Experience in professional service firms required (software development firms, law firms, consulting firms, etc.)
  • High level of reliability, discretion, and trustworthiness
  • Ability to work very independently, with very little direction, and assertively/proactively correspond with the management team to get work done
  • High attention to detail
  • CPA, JD, SPHR, or other qualifications a plus
  • Deep experience with Quickbooks Online required
  • Experience with Bill.com, Jira, and/or Zenefits a plus
  • Deep excel financial modeling experience
  • Self-motivated – ‘Find a way to get it done’ attitude
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar function
  • Experience with professional service firms
  • Understanding of cloud-based software / web terminology
