Healthcare is one of the most paperwork intensive industry segments. With recent legislative changes and the age progression of our “baby boomers”, it is universally known that healthcare costs are going to skyrocket. Placing more healthcare management services on the cloud reduces paperwork and the overall chance of human error. Additionally, insurance brokers are beginning to incorporate cloud computing services for client management of health savings accounts (HSA’s). This is another area where cloud comupting is providing cost reduction, but also increasing customer value.
Healthcare cloud services for insurance brokers
Insurance brokers are now offering clients (and potential clients) an interface that they can log into to manage their health savings accounts. These are “white labeled” solutions that show the broker’s logo, branding and relevant information so that the client feels completely comfortable in the online environment. Powered by companies like Canada’s PreAxia, clients can enjoy the freedom and security of managing their health savings accounts on the cloud without ever visually leaving the comfort of their broker’s web platform.
A new client management standard is emerging
This trend does not just apply to healthcare. A number of professional services are incorporating similar platforms to deliver customer value, control costs and increase security of this information. Law firms, accounting firms and consulting firms are spending billions of dollars to remain ahead of their competition and provide client services through white labeled cloud solutions. Most of these solutions are installed, provided and supported on a per-user-per-month basis, giving these professional service firms the ability to offer advanced client-serving technology at an affordable “consumption-based” cost.
